Andy’s Bio
Andy M. has been in law enforcement for 13 years, and brings over 10 years of instructor experience to CrossFit Centurion. Andy has worked in a number of assignments, including Patrol, Detectives and SWAT, where he served as a Sniper Team Leader. He currently works as the lead firearms instructor for his agency.
During his career, he has seen the significant impact that physical and mental fitness can have on helping people to adapt to challenges in life and work. Andy has experienced first hand how general physical preparedness translates directly to increased confidence and competence in both professional and private lives.
After spending years in traditional gym settings with disappointing results, Andy discovered Crossfit and never looked back. Andy joined Crossfit Centurion in 2009 as a client and made dramatic improvements in his overall health and wellness. These changes have positively carried over to his personal and professional roles in life, as a Law Enforcement professional, father & husband, and athlete.
Andy has joined the instructional staff at CFC to help spread the benefits of fitness and overall improved health to others. Andy holds a Crossfit Level 1 Certification and is currently working on obtaining his CSCS certification through the National Stength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Andy also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Long Beach.

Kaysie- Thank you so much for posting the link to "Iron and the Soul" by Henry Rollins in the forum. A super inspirational and heartfelt essay. I think it eloquently puts words to what most of us feel deep down. For those that have not read it I would definitely recommend you do so.
