Scott’s Bio
Scott Shaughnessy is a Firefighter with Cal-Fire in the Amador-El Dorado Unit. With the high physical demand in public safety, he wanted to enhance his health and fitness beyond the traditional bodybuilding/cardio split routines he had done for years. Scott began training at CrossFit Centurion in December 2008 and made tremendous strides not only in his body composition, but as well as his metabolic capacity and strength conditioning. After this past year of seeing and feeling the huge positive impact that CrossFit has had on his life, especially while working as a public safety professional, he has decided to spread his enthusisam through training other people.
Scott has attended numerous CrossFit Training and training seminars, including: CrossFit Level 1 Certification, CrossFit Nutrition Seminar, and Catalyst Athletics Olympic Lifting Certification. These certifications provide the ability to breakdown and teach skills at a high-level of quality in his training sessions with clients. He recognizes the significance of having correct technique, ROM and an understanding of the movements and will work with each client to ensure that success and satisfaction are achieved.
Scott was a long time athlete throughout high school and college at Chico State University, where he majored in Business. Additionally, Scott’s other passion is Art. He has a variety of works of art displayed on his website, www.artisticlounge.com.
