Trent’s Bio

Trent is a former stand-out high school athlete in the sports of football, basketball and baseball. A short stint at college sports (mainly beer pong), a blossoming firefighting career and a strong personal desire to stay fit, kept him in the globo-gym setting but without much needed intensity or progress. Time at California State University Chico yielded a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and sparked an interest in Olympic weight lifting.

Crossfit was introduced to Trent in early 2009 and it instantly felt like a great method to combine the high demands of a public safety job, the camaraderie of team sports, the variability needed to maintain interest and continually see progress in the realm of fitness, and continual intensity and challenges to create a formidable fitness base. Trent is a exceptional athlete and has competed in the 2010 Crossfit Games Nor Cal Sectionals, but prefers more local, charity-based events such as Fight Gone Bad and the SacTown Throwdown, Level 10 Strength Challenge and other CrossFit competitions. Trent also competes in 5k & 10k running events as well as other different sporting events.

Trent currently works for the Roseville Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic where he is assigned as a tiller operator on the truck and cross-staffs a Rescue unit responsible for trench rescue, confined space, dive, swift water and high/low angle rope rescue. 

Trent has a BS in Exercise Physiology, a Crossfit level 1 certification and a USAW Level 1/Sports Performance coaching certification. Trent handles programming and regular instruction on the CFC gym floor.

In his spare time, Trent enjoys reading to the elderly, playing "Magic - The Gathering", and teaching kids how to dance. He is an Aquarius with a penchant for romance and watching the sun rise on misty mornings.
