WOD 2/12/10

5 Lunges / DB Push Press / Push Up
10 Lunges / DB Push Press / Push Up
15 Lunges / DB Push Press / Push Up
20 Lunges / DB Push Press / Push Up
15 Lunges / DB Push Press / Push Up
10 Lunges / DB Push Press / Push Up
5 Lunges / DB Push Press / Push Up

Lunges are PER LEG. The DB Push Press RX is 55/35. It may seem heavy, but it's a Push Press so the additional drive from the legs will negate some of the weight. If you are a hard charger, do ring dips instead of Push Ups. Any of you competing in the Throw Down should NOT be doing this workout. In fact, you should not be doing anything at all except recovering and geting ready.

The SacTown ThrowDown is tomorrow. For those of you who read the fine print and bought tickets to view the event, we will see you there. For everyone else, we apologize that we didn't let you know earlier that you needed to pre-purchase tickets to view the event.

We are going to field 2 teams as originally planned, however, we had to make some last minute changes due to availability. As such, we are going to have one team going for the trophy as RX'd on everything and another that may be doing some scaling. I am going to captain Team 2 and Jon is going to captain Team 1. CFC Team 1 will be Jon, Trent, Jennie, and Kristy. CFC Team 2 will be Ian, Shaun, Steph and..... maybe Diana or Deb, we are still waiting to hear whom.

Either way, it should be fun. Send some good vibes our way and keep your fingers crossed!

Remember, CFC will be closed on Saturday, 2/13/10, for the SacTown Throw Down at CrossFit East Sac. I am sorry for the incovenience, but Andy was one of the few smart enough to buy a ticket to watch ahead of time and will be there with his sidekick, Buddy Holly. I'll be damned if I tell our only two cheerleaders to stay at the box!

Normal schedule will resume on Sunday, 2/14/10. Yes, it's Valentines Day, so think your workout schedule over wisely...

We had the good fortune to have Cam Birtwell, owner of CrossFit Zone in Victoria, BC, Canada. Cam is a great athlete and very sought after strength and conditioning coach. Cam works as an S&C coach for the Canadian National Rowing Team and Rugby Team! Reading between the lines means he has had a hand in training some of Canada's best athletes and Olympians! It was a pleasure to have him stop by and we look forward to future visits!
