"Rick, Ian has been Carbo-loading for years. JK, See below;

Eating a high carbohydrate meal before your race is very important, Oatmeal, whole grain breads, bagels and English muffins, pancakes, waffles, pasta. These are all good foods to eat before a bike race. They will give you the kind of energy you need to keep going for hours. Try to avoid white bread and sugar cereal before the bike race because they'll give you short term energy but won't be there when you really need it."

"I'm so proud of you Sis... you have shown such dedication and it's surely paying off! Your form is spot on, your strength is increasing weekly, and I can see the changes in you! I love working out with you and I love how we talk Crossfit over the phone... and I absolutely love that Ian and Allison have brought us closer together through "strengthening"! Great picture, a true champ (with guns)! wink"

"Thats like: The "Scott" was caught eating pasta and bread the day before the CF Games, and then told the reporter, Ian has been carbo loading for years! smile Ian I hope you include your European racing experience in your book, those stories are classic!"

"AHAHAHA - I love it! I had no idea Todd did that vid for the contest. Stay tuned for a public screening coming soon to CFC.com now that I know about that one....

Yeah, the Landis thing doesn't surprise me. When one person gets caught they deny the hell out of it, then finally admit it and then try and drag everyone else down with them so it looks like they aren't the only bad guy out there. Lame...I know the truth about what goes on in the peloton with a large percentage of riders and it's not pretty. Still I don't go squealing and I sure as hell would have more self respect and common sense than to sit there and play the denial game...c'mon guys (Tyler, Floyd, etc.) - it's your piss and no you didn't eat that many poppy seed muffins to pee dirty (Alexi Grewal's defense in the 90's). Those guys, and many others, are also riding the spike - that's just the way it is when money, fame and a legacy are within reach. Sad, but true..."
