WOD 9/8/10

7 Rounds (rest 1 minute between rounds) - With DB's

1 Hang Clean (55/35)
3 Squat Clean (55/35)
5 Push Jerk (55/35)
100m  Sprint

Rest

4x20 Half Moons (25/15)

This is a variation of a WOD called "2 Minute Defense". In this one you will use dumbbells instead of a barbell and will wrap up with 5 push jerks and a 100m sprint. You will start with a Hang Clean - weights start at the waist and you catch them in a full squat. Then take the weights all the way to the ground, deadlift them and go into a full squat clean for 3 reps. After the last one, keep the weights up on the shoulders and do 5 Push Jerks. Put them down and sprint. After each round you will rest 2 minutes. The weight should be challenging. This is a short WOD, but after the past couple days, that is a good thing. It should not be easy, though!

We all need to stretch more. Yes, I harp on it, but not everyone does it. So, for those of you who have the time and desire to get more flexible and increase your athleticism and health, while decreasing your chances of injury, we have now added a link to Kelly Starett's new blog. The blog is call Mobility WOD and is a daily dose of hardcore stretching, one body part at a time. The link is located on the left sidebar, so check it out and starting stretching!

"This WOD is actually supposed to be done with a barbell, but in light of my weenie, complaning neighbor we went with DB's If you do it with a bar, I would recommend making sure Mr.Sandinmythong is gone, or do it in the driveway. Otherwise, man up and do it with 55 Lb DB's - they are hard!"

"I'm thinking about running this WOD...looks like a good one! However, I need to make it interesting...so I'll run it with a 145lb bar. Anyone interested? If you're interested, be at the 6pm class."
