Olympic Lifts

Ivan the Terrible strikes back for a PR in the Snatch, a couple PR misses in the Clean and Jerk and a heavy Deadlift to top it all off.

Ian's long time goal was to hit 200 Lbs in the Snatch and 250 Lbs in a Clean & Jerk. On 11/21/09, Ian once again closed up shop on a Saturday afternoon and went for it. A few misses, but in the end the PR's were met! There are still a couple of flaws that need work, but all in due time! Credit for the killer programming goes to Greg Everett of Catalyst Athletics - Ian hasn't done anything but what's been posted for quite some time and it's paying off.

Ian doing some more Oly work on 11/14/09. Two new PR's in this session. For not being a full time or long term Oly lifter, these were good numbers to hit. Ian had been following the Oly Lift WOD programming from Catalyst Athletics religously for the past 7 weeks and the results were showing. A lot of hard work, reviewing film in slow-mo and technique tweaking was paying off! There's still some room for improvement, but it's coming along little by little.
