CrossFit Centurion’s Second Annual “Fight 4 Life” Fundraiser
BENEFITING FIRST RESPONDERS WITH POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD)
WHEN: Saturday, June 24, 2017 – 10am – 4pm
WHERE: CrossFit Centurion, 11349 Folsom Boulevard, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742
Come join us in support of our First Responders who are coping with PTSD due to their daily jobs.
Participate in the workouts, donate, and cheer us on!
Through willing and excited sponsors, we have teamed up with the First Responder Support Network to raise funds for PTSD awareness and treatment for Law Enforcement and Public Safety personnel and their families!
The event will have a live DJ, events, activities, water jump house, and video game truck for kids, as well as static displays and demos from local public safety agencies and some of their specialty units!
There will be some incredible prize packages and raffle prizes. No joke, we have some crazy prizes that have been donated to us for the event, along with a silent auction!!!!
We will use the infamous “Fight Gone Bad” workout as our workout for the day, this time with a “Solo” or “Team” Option. The goal of the workout is to have fun and give a little something of ourselves back to our public safety professionals. Winners will be decided on how much they raise through pledges from their friends, family and other sponsors. While Fight Gone Bad sounds scary, it is fully scalable and everyone can do it, regardless of CrossFit experience! We aren’t saying it’s easy, but it’s doable for anyone! We will run multiple heats throughout the day, then adding a second Event of Max. Bench Press and third Event of Max. Weighted Pull-up. You can sign up for one or all events. Then we can hang out and enjoy the company of our friends, families and public safety personnel who will be on hand!
